PRESENTERS
Dr. Patricia Quinn
Dr. Patricia Quinn is a developmental pediatrician in the Washington, D.C. area. A graduate of Georgetown University Medical School, she specializes in child development psychopharmacology. Dr. Quinn has worked for over 28 years in the areas of AD/HD and learning disabilities. She gives workshops nationwide and had published widely in these fields.
Dr. Quinn is the author of several books on AD/HD. These include the best selling book, Putting on the Brakes: A Young People's Guide to Understanding Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder for children in the 8 to 12 year old group and the companion workbook The "Putting on the Brakes" Activity Book for Young People with AD/HD. She is also co-editor of ADDvance: A Magazine for Women with AD/HD. Dr. Quinns latest workshop topic has grown out of her most recent book, Understanding Girls with AD/HD, which she has co-authored with Dr. Kathleen Nadeau and Dr. Ellen Littman.
Dr. Kathleen Nadeau
Kathleen Nadeau, Ph.D. is a nationally recognized authority on Attention Disorders, and serves on the national professional advisory boards of CHADD and ADDA. She is a frequent lecturer on AD/HD, both nationally and internationally, and has written numerous books on Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, including Understanding Girls with AD/HD. Currently,she is working on a book to be entitled Understanding Women with AD/HD, due out in 2001.
In recent years, much of her work has focused on gender issues in AD/HD. She is the co-editor of Addvance: A Magazine for Women with AD/HD and is the director of Chesapeake Psychological Services of Maryland in Silver Spring, Maryland.
